Methodology![]() Methodology: working together Fundamentally the business is all too often the owners. You are the business’s greatest asset, and the reason for being in business. My task is to maximise the productivity of that asset so that you spend your time on high level strategy and high level involvement with the clients on the important issues, whilst the rest of the staff are organised to support you both, and to free you up from the not important but nevertheless essential tasks needed to run a successful business. To be successful, the consultant and the client need to develop a close relationship, so it is very important to appoint someone that you feel comfortable with, because this is a person that is going to learn all about your business, the good and the not so good. My task is to get to know the business intimately, understands the skills and objectives of the owners, and so be responsible for:
To achieve this, the consultant needs to be a highly experienced “deep generalist”. One who is able to do most of the work, yet can source a specialist from their network, when one is required. |
